bf bought me a diamond necklace 4 christmas..but he seems so bored w/ our relationship? guys view on this?

Idk if this is normal for guys or not but my bf (were both 17) never buys me stuff but 4 christmas he bought me a diamond necklace (wow right?) so to me thats a good sign in our relationship... like he WANTS to be with me...but becides that he doesnt ever call anymore and in school we pretty much just say hi/bye. Earlier in the relationship he used 2 walk me to class and stuff but now its like he's taking advantage of the fact that im "low maintance" and I dont bitch if he doesnt call or hold me all the time. He isnt a shy guy either he's slept w/ quit a few chicks and stuff before....im just wondering why he would buy me a nice gift if he doesnt even seem into me..............

maybe guys think differantly than girls and to them they dont see why they always godda be around their gf's but my previous bf was all over me and wanted to be together all the time. Oh and btw we have been going out almost 3 months (not that long)
