the stars were holes cut in a dark, black, velvet, night sky
the darkness slowly becomes brighter
as each hole is cut
eventually becoming a vast dimension of diamonds, glistening so bright
each constellation that shows
is another addition to the dark, black, world that grows
(this is associated with the myth that in early times someone cute holes in the sky, creating the stars, and heaven was shining through.)

of a solitary walk in snow
