Emerald Engagement Rings Instead of Diamonds?
I am really into the colorful center look instead of plain white diamonds. I love canary but I dont think he can afford that, nor would I want to force him to buy it, because believe me he would try lol.. But I was thinking if I could instead have a golden emerald put on instead. However I cannot find a website that will let me design my ring with an emerald. I love Shane Company, but they only have regular diamonds.... Anyone know of any websites that let you make your own ring WITH EMERALDS??? Thanks
Purchase your gemstone at http://www.thaigem.com I used to order from them when I did silver and goldsmithing and they are by far the best. For the setting, you could order just a setting online but I don't recommend buying them online. Zales and Kay both have monthly events where a wholesale jeweler comes in and sells settings and will set your stone on the spot, I recommend doing something like that. Some more independent jewelers offer that type of thing all the time. I have never met someone who was happy with a ring that they purchased (setting only) online without seeing it in person first.

EDIT: if you plan on wearing it everyday, don't get a natural emerald. Get a lab one.
