How do you find the value of old jewellery?
I have an 18ct white gold ring inset with 12x 0.1ct round diamonds and 12x 0.4ct baguette diamonds in alternate positions on two rows.
£365 in 1972.
How can I find the value of the ring now?
PS it aint for sale!
...Just to add, Im very aware that a jeweller will be able to appraise the item and I thank you all for your ideas so far, thing is Im not sure that your average jeweller would have the first idea what the real value is. The cost in 1972 is not pertinent to the value now, however, the item itself has a history through the holocaust etc, before it came into the current posession.
This ring is an artefact, unfortunaley and not a jewellery shop purchase as such.
take it to a reputable jewellers who will value it for you, though they might charge a fee.
